Ms. Klein's vision is to take the quintessential Southern California feeling from the historic downtowns along the Foothill corridor and create art which conveys the spirit of the past with the current contemporary San GabriealValley. A student of California history and lore, Ms. Klein will use these strengths along with her research using garden clubs, architects, urban planners, historians, ecologists, librarians, local heroes, and new influences on the area.
Ms. Klein hopes to bring out the individual character and style of each location, while fostering a unified vision for the Foothill area. The areas in between the stations offer an opportunity to make a ribbon of interest using a common thread .She plans to combine the existing utilities and appliances of the alignment with elements of landscape and light to create a dramatic tableau between the stations.
Ms. Klein is eager to work with the community during final design to further explore her artistic vision.
